<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL <br />OF SPECIALUSEP~RMIT APPLICATION, SP-S5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an applica tionfor a special use permit SP-S5 <br />has been made by Belair Builders, Inc. for signing at <br />44l~5 Sth Avenue N. W., and <br /> <br />W~RE, the procedural history of the application is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. That an application for a special use permit SP-:-S5 <br />was filed with the City on March '14, 1979. <br /> <br />2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br />application at its regular meeting on March 20, 1979. <br /> <br />3. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner <br />and all person's statements made at the Board of <br />Review meeting were considered. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Review that <br />the following Findings of Fact are made in respect to SP-85: <br /> <br />1. The general purpose of the sign ordinance is to <br />promote sound identification, reduction of clutter <br />and aesthetic enhancement; <br /> <br />2. That the building design and location create a <br />situation where signing must be handled sensitively; <br /> <br />.3. That wall signs would not be consistent with the <br />general purposes of the sign ordinance; <br /> <br />4. . That 'a.. single ground sig~ as.proposedwouldproviqe <br />sound' identification and would be compq.tible~ith <br />the' g"enera 1 area. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, tha tthe appl,~cation for SP-S5 <br />is hereby recommended fo;apl;?,,:pvaL subject.to the following: <br /> <br />l~ That no more than one (1) ground sign shall be <br />permitted on the .;property; <br /> <br /> <br />2. That the ground sign contain building name and <br />tenant names only; <br /> <br />3.
