I <br />; <br />1 <br />I <br />! <br />! <br />~ ' <br /> <br />....,,#" <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO <br /> <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL <br />OF APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-89 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, An application for a special use permit, SP-89 <br />has been made by John Lange to permit signing at 1211 Old <br />Highway #8; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The procedural history of the application is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />l. <br />2 . <br /> <br />That an application for a special use permit, SP-89 <br />was filed with the City on February 13, 1980. <br />That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br />application at its regular meeting on February 19, <br />1980. <br />The written.:,~comjTIents and analysis of the City Planner <br />and all person's statements made at the Board of <br />Review meeting were consid~red. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Review that <br />the following Findings of Fact are made in respect to SP-89: <br />- <br /> <br />1. The general purpose of the sign ordinan~e is to <br />promote sound identification, reduction of clutter <br />and aesthetic enhancement; <br />2 . T hat the b u i 1 din g des i g n and 1 0 cat ion ere ate a <br />situation where signing must be handled sensitively; <br />3. That wall signs would not be consistent with the ' <br />general purposes of the sign ordinance; <br />4. That a single ground sign as proposed would provide <br />sound identification would be compatible wit~ the <br />general. area. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the application for SP-89 <br />is and hereby recommended for approval subject to the follow- <br />ing conditions: <br /> <br />1. That no more than one (1) ground sign shall be <br />permitted on the property; <br />2. That the ground sign contain building address and <br />tenant names only; <br />3. That such ground sign shall not exceed 56 square <br />feet in area nor 10 feet in height, and shall have <br />a minimum setback requirement of thirteen (13) feet, <br />four (4) inches from the front property line; <br />4. That no wall signs shall be allowed; <br />5.
