COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with council consent, received the Environmental <br />Quality Commission millutes of February 10, 1988; Citizen Study <br />Committee minutes of February 24, 1988; Planning Commission work- <br />shop session minutes of February 16, 1988 and regular meeting <br />minutes of February 26, 1988; Human Rights Commission minutes of <br />March 7, 1988; and the Economic Development Commission minutes of <br />March 30, 1988. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Mayor Benke gratefully acknowledged the donation from Salem Bap- <br />tist Church. <br /> <br />Mayor Benke proclaimed May 20, 1988. as VFW Poppy Day in New <br />Brighton. <br /> <br />Mayor Benke proclaimed April 23, 1988, as Arbor Day in the City of <br />New Brighton and the month of May, 1988, as Arbor Month in the <br />City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />Consent Aqenda <br /> <br />Brandt asked that a discussion of charitable gambling be added to <br />Council Business as Item VIII-8. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt, to APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA <br />ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order <br />of Business <br /> <br />Salem Baptist <br />Donation <br /> <br />VFW Poppy Day <br /> <br />Arbor Day and <br />Arbor Month <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />
