An application for a ~ign permit will have to <br />be filed with Ronald Nienaber, Building Official. <br /> <br />A sketch of the sign with dimensions, actual wording and the <br />location on the building or site. The property is zoned B-3, <br />General Business and under that zoning district you are allowed <br />to use 40% of the signable area of the building. The signable <br />area of the building is an imaginery rectangle that could be <br />drawn a couple of ways. Fist, it could comprise the area on <br />the west wall of the building that runs from the windows to <br />the south end of the building and which is below the roof line <br />and above the handicap parking sign. Or the second way the <br />rectangle could be drawn is that area on the W€st wall that is <br />south of the handicap sign and runs from the roof line to the <br />bottom edge of the building. <br /> <br />The window area is not a signable area for a wall sign. However, <br />thec~de does provide for permanent window signs that are in <br />area less than 251 of the window~ There are a coupl€ of large <br />windows and, the windows cannot be combined for the area calculation. <br /> <br />The site is allowed 11 items of information per street side. Sur <br />name or clinic name in this case would be 2 items of information <br />and every word, period~ comma ot symbol after that ~ould be <br />counted as one item of information. <br /> <br />Another consideration for signage is that the application for <br />sign permit must be filed by the property owner or with the written <br />
