<br />SECTION 4-600 Height Exceptions <br />a. Height limitations shall not apply to the following: <br /> <br />1. Church spires, belfries, cupolas and domes; <br />2. Chimneys and smokestakes; <br />3. Flag poles; - .. <br />4. Any antenna or combination of antenna and tower rigidly <br />attached to a building provide~ that the combination of _ <br />ant~nna and tower do~snot exceed . total~ei~htof20 - <br />feet abo~e the highest point of attachment. Roof-mounted rnechanicaJequipment shall be either <br />~creened or completely enclosed and shall be excepted <br />from the heightlimit~t;ons if-the enclosure.(sl does <br />not occupy more than thirty (30) percent of theroqf <br />area and doe~ not extend more than 12 feet above the <br />roof upon which it is located. . <br />b. Building permits are required for to_wers and antennae which <br />meet the following regulations: <br />1. All towers and antennae shall have setbacks equal ~o or <br />greater than the height of the proposed structure; <br />2. Distance of any guy an-ohorage or similar device shall be <br />at least 10 feet from any property line. <br />3. Suitable protective anti-climb fencing and a landscape <br />planting screen. shall be provided and maintained around <br />the structure and accessory.attachments. <br />4. The applicant shall present documentation of the possession <br />of any required license by any Federal, State or local . <br />agency.- . <br />5. No structure shall be in excess of a height equal to the <br />distance from the base of the structure to the nearest <br />overhead e1e~trica1 power line which serves more than <br />one dwelling or place of business, less five feet. <br />6. Only one such structure exceeding the district height <br />limitations shall exist at anyone time on any residentially <br />zoned and used lot or parcel. <br />7. Application tQr the permit must include construction draw- <br />ings showing. proposed method of installation, structural <br />engineering analysis and site plan depicting structures <br />and p1anti~gs on the property and all adjacent properties. <br />At the request-Q~ Administrative authority, documentation <br />of a maintenance program -may be required. <br />8. If any modification~are made to the structure, the Building <br />Official shall hav~ the authority to require proof that said <br />addition, change, or modification is in conformity with the <br />permit and the Uniform Building Code. <br />9.
