" . <br />STATE OFMINNEOSTA · <br />COUNTY Of RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-IOO <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit entitled <br />SP-100 has been made by RCE Corporation to establish a sign plan <br />for the Rice Creek Center; ~nd <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the procedural hist.ory of the applicati.on is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. That an application f.or special use permit; SP-100 was <br />filed with the City of New Brighton .on October 6, 1981. <br />2. That the Planning Commissi.on~ pursuant to published <br />and mailed notices, held a p~blic hearing .on October 20, <br />November 17,1981, December 15, 1981 and January 19, <br />1982, all person's present at the hearing were given an <br />oPP.ortunity to be heard. <br />3. That such application was reviewed by the City Council <br />on January 26, 1982. <br />4. The written c.omments and analysis of the city staff, <br />the Planning Commissi.on minutes and rec.ommendations <br />were c.onsidered. <br /> <br /> l. <br /> 2. <br /> 3. <br /> 4. <br />I 5. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the New Brighton City <br />Council makes the f.ollowing Findings of Fact in respect to SP~O <br /> <br />That the pr.operty is zoned B-3, General Business and <br />developed as a sh.opping center; <br />That the City in regard to signage has designated this <br />iite as an area of special control (Secti.on 9-180 <br />Zoning C.ode); <br />Tha~ the City by special permit may establish special <br />sign regulati.ons that are m.ore or less restrictive than <br />the regulations in the table of Basic Design Elements; <br />That the proposed sign plan is comprehensive in nature <br />and addresses the needs .of the intensive c.ommercial <br />activities .on this site; <br />That the pr.oposed sign plan is consistent and <br />compatible with the basic intention of the sign <br />ordinance in that it reduces clutter, provides sound <br />identification and is aesthetically pleasing.- <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the application SP-100 is <br />hereby approved subject to the conformance with the regulations <br />and exhibits within the sign plan as signed and dated by the <br />applicant and City Planner. - <br /> <br />t.l <br /> <br />Adopted this _ day of <br /> <br />~ 1982. <br /> <br />e <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />II <br />II <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i> <br />'I <br />I <br />I <br />II <br /> <br />c ) <br /> <br />Gregory B.
