<br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />VILLAGE OF NE~nl BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and published notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the New Brighton Village Council was held at 8 p.m., October 24, <br />1972 in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 803 5th Avenue N.W. <br />New Brighton, Minnesota w <br />Present: Mayor Gayle C. Bromander, Councilmen Diana Eagon, Gene Fisher, <br />D. L. Moen, Paul Rebelein. Absent: None <br />Also Present: Thomas F. Lewcock, Village Manager; Perry Copeland, <br />' Village Attorney; Vernon C. Pederson, Clerk-Treasurer; <br />Quentin K. ~rJood, Director of Public Works <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Rebelein to Minutes - Oct. 10 <br />approve minutes of October 10 and October li, and 11 <br />1972 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Special Order of Business <br />Mr. George King, President of the Minnesota Bar Award - Traffic <br />Association presented Donald Gross, Judge of Court <br />New Brighton Municipal Court, Honorable Mention <br />before the Traffic Court. Mayor Bromander on <br />behalf of the council congratulated Judge Gross <br />and other members of the court for their excellent work, <br />Unfinished Business <br />Mayor Bromander called the question on the <br />motion of August 22, 1972 made by <br />Bromander, seconded by Eagon to deny requested <br />rezoning R-70 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />No action was taken on Ramsey County proposal <br />for right of way negotiations along County <br />Road D <br />Public Hearing <br />Attorney Stated hearing was properly called <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Moen to close <br />hearing <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Bramander, seconded by Fisher to grant <br />variance request, VN-80, subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the Old Highway 8 right of way be <br />included in the landscape plan <br />Rezoning R-70 <br />Harstad-Todd <br />Variance Request <br />~VN -8~ <br />~-1 Anderson <br />
