COUNCIL PROCEEllINGS <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to due call and published notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br />the New Brighton Village Council was held at 8 p.m., December ]4, 1971 <br />in the Municipal Building Council Chambers. 803 5th Avenue N.W. New <br />Brighton, Minnesota <br />Present° Councilmen Gene Fisher, Thomas Morris, Paul Rebelein, <br />Acting Mayor D. L. Moen ' <br />It was announced that Mayor Bromander would be present later <br />in the meeting. <br />Also Present: Robert W. Schaefer, Village Manager; Perry Copeland, <br />Village Attorney; Quentin K. ;Vood, Director of Public <br />Works; Vernon C. Pederson, Clerk-Treasurer <br />Motion by Fisher, seconded by Rebelein.to approve minutes Minutes of <br />of November 23, 1971 and special meeting of December 7, 1971 Nov.. 23 & <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried Dec. 7,1971 <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Motion by Morris, seconded by Fisher to hold second ORDINANCE <br />reading, adoption and publication of an ordinance #289 <br />entitled AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN (R-68) <br />THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Morris to close hearing <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried 1-80 <br />P~4otion by Fisher, seconded by Rebelein to approve Twin City <br />variance VN-80 permitting parking to the front Motel Site <br />property line as shown on a plan rece-ived by the <br />Village Clerk-Treasurer dated December 14, 1971, <br />and subject to the following conditions; <br />1. At time of application for building .permit <br />the right-of-way area will be incorporated <br />into the landscape plan, and <br />2. Should the right-of-~,aay: all or any portion <br />thereof, ever be returned to the owner that <br />area shall remain as a green area. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Morris to award bid on Award Bid <br />two (2) police patrol cars to Polar Chevrolet, Inc, in Police cars <br />the amount of $5,060.00 <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Dlotion by Fisher, seconded by Rebelein to direct <br />Administration to return submitted Final Plan PRD #~-7 to FINAL PLAN <br />applicant and inform applicant that the two units on the PRD #17 <br />southern area of the plan are to be located in the north ern <br />area as discussed by the Council or that the t~,~o units be <br />deleted from the plan. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried ~ <br />~F,~a <br />
