COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to due call and published notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br />the New Brighton Village Council was held at 8 p.m., July 11, 1972 in <br />the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 803 5th Avenue N.W., New <br />Brighton, Minnesota. <br />Present- Mayor Gayle C. Bromander, Councilmen Diana Eagon, Gene Fisher, <br />D. L. Moen, Paul Rebelein. <br />Also Present: Thomas F. Lewcock, Village Manager; Perry Copeland, <br />Village Attorney; Vernon C. Pederson, Clerk-Treasurer; <br />Quentin K. Wood, Director of Public Works <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Fishez to approve Minutes - June 27 <br />minutes of regular meeting of June 27, 1972 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Unfinished Business <br />Mr. Harold Becker was present. <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded by Moen to approve <br />variance VN-84, Becker Carpet subject to the <br />following stipulations: (1) That landscaping be done <br />in accordance with landscaping plan submitted <br />July 11, 1972 (2) The variance shall.be for a period <br />of 5 years (3) that the area between retaining wall <br />and old Highway 8 shall be maintained, (4) variance <br />terminates if there is transfer in ownership or <br />additions to the building <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Moen to amend <br />motion by deleting the 5 year requirement and the <br />change in ownership requirement <br />Bec r Carpet <br />N-84 <br />2 ayes (Rebelein, Moen) 3 nayes (Bromander, Eagon, Fisher) <br />Motion fails. Vote on original motion by <br />Roll Call Vote - 4 ayes (Eagon, Fisher, Rebelein, Brcmander) <br />1 naye (Moen) - Carried <br />Motion by Moen, seconded by Rebelein to waive <br />reading of resolution and to adopt resolution RESOLUTION 1086 <br />entitled RESOLUTION REFERRING PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT <br />73-1 TO ENGINEER FOR STUDY AND REPORT <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Moen to grant Waiver - Sewer <br />waiver for sewer connection request, Mrs. Elsa Karol, Connection - <br />1615 Silver Lake Road until such time Improvement 73-1 Elsa Karol <br />is ordered and constructed <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried
