Council Consideration
Building Permit
September 9, 1975
Requesto Council approval of building permit for expansion of
existing foundry building
APlicant: Kausel Foundry
Location: 350 lst St., SW
Size of Expansion: 231'6" x 238'6" 55,212 square feet
47' high
Exterior Treatment: Metal panels matching existing foundry building
Discussion
This landscape and plotplan, was originally approved by both
the Planning Commission and the Council approximately a year ago.
All the required information has been provided and with the
exception of the items covered in the variance request, all Code
requirements have been met.
We see no problems with the landscape and plot plan as
`'presented, in fact, the area closest to 1st Street will be greatly.
improved by the curbing, landscaping, and screening that will be
installed. The.exterior of the proposed building expansion will
match that of the present foundry buildings
One item that should be changed on the landscape and plot plan is
that concrete curbing shown on the westerly driveway should be
extended into-the,property to a point equal with the front of the
phase.I foundry building. This is a result of the changing Code
requirements defining what constitutes the extent of the front yard.
Planning Commission Consideration & Recommendation, 8-19-75
See Green Sheet VN-148:
