r <br />Reauest• VN-137 <br />Applicant: Minnesota Federal Savings <br />Location: 1200 Silver Lake Road (Northwest quadrant of Silver Lake <br />Road and Palmer Drive extended) <br />Discussion: <br />This item has been re-referred to the Planning Commission by <br />the Council because the applicant has substantially revised his <br />plans and reduced the number of variances requested. As the <br />previous recommendation of the Planning Commission was simply one <br />i rLi.G 1 L? t-hc Coun(-Al ha ,.-I no guida;:.c,e as to 'What -Hang(.r? t 1 <br />Planning Commission thought were necessary in the original plan. <br />In revising its plans, the applicant has retained the same <br />general design for the building but has substantially reduced its <br />size. With this change and other related site changes, the applicant <br />has reduced the number of needed variances to twos <br />1. Section 10-080(b) - 10' variance from 50' to 40' building <br />setback from north property line; <br />2. Section 12-050(j) - variance of 28 spaces from 58 to 30 <br />spaces in the number of parking spaces <br />to be provided. <br />The P•.pnlicant has retained a consultant to st»dy the ?.clcq-°p..-Y <br />i tiie parking.
