COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NET^? BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to due call and published notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the New Brighton City Council was held at 8:00 p.m., July 8, 1975 <br />in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 803 5th Avenue N.T., New <br />Brighton, Minnesota <br />Present: Acting Mayor Fisher, Councilmen Donald A. Anderson, <br />Diana Eagon, Paul Rebelein. Absent Mayor Bromander <br />Also <br />Present: Thomas F. Lewcock, City Manager; Perry VJ. Copeland, City <br />Attorney; James J. Kleinschmidt, City Engineer; <br />Vernon C. Pederson, Clerk-Treasurer <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Rebelein to approve minutes <br />of regular meeting of June 2~~, 1975 <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Anderson, seconded by Eagon to approve minutes <br />of special meeting of July 1, 1975 and confirming the <br />action taken thereat <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Unfinished Business <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Anderson to defer action <br />regarding Architectural Review Board to second meeting <br />in August <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Public Hearings <br />Attorney stated hearing was properly called <br />Mr. Ruvelson, representing the o~~~ner, suggested that <br />a complex the si?e of Polynesian Village needed a larger <br />sign than that c•~hich was permitted especially since <br />it was located on the freeway. He noted that if the <br />buildings were under separate ownership they would be <br />permitted several signs. He added that the complex <br />does have a vacancy problem and he believes that the <br />sign does help relieve that problem. <br />Mr. Lyle Stuat, 77 Oakwood Drive, indicated that the <br />photographs showing existing signs were misleading <br />because of the distance they were taken from the signs. <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Anderson to close <br />hearing <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Anderson <br />motion to close hearing <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Anderson <br />to August 12, 8:07 <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />to reconsider <br />to continue hearing <br />Minutes <br />Defer to <br />Aug. 26 <br />Architect <br />Revieca Bd <br />N-139 <br />8:10 to <br />8:43 <br />Close <br />Hearing <br />Continue to <br />Aug 12- <br />8:07 <br />
