Board of Revie~•~ -'~- Dec. 16, 1975 <br />Mr. Nattel stated .that he has space for. ten cars. <br />Parham suggested that a wall sign conforming to the size limits <br />in the, ordinance be allowed such sign saying "Customer Parking <br />foreEddie's Corner Bar and New Brighton Furniture". <br />t^7ith regard to item number seven, Harty notes? that this item was <br />already taken care of. <br />The Planning Commission returned to a discussion of item number <br />three. <br />Mr. Rybak statedthat he can't agree to take. the sign down since <br />it is'the_oniy way people know he is opene He stated he will never <br />..take it down.. <br />-The Building anc~ Planning Coors?znator asked what the possibility <br />was of externally lighting the existing wall signs. <br />Mr. Nattel stated.tha-t this would not work, that-.the bar .depends <br />_ on being visible to the existing four way traffic and that the bare <br />signs lighted as, proposed would not be visible to the traffic from <br />all directions. <br />Motion by Parham, seconded by Anderson, to recommend approval of <br />VN-152 with thee.following conditions <br />1, Allowing the sign reading "New Brighton Furniture, Inc." on <br />each. street side of the building said sign meeting-the limit <br />of 'covering. no more than t'-0% of the. selected signablearea. <br />?...Removal of the existing wall sign above the entrance on the south <br />side of the building and replacement by a sign meeting ordinance <br />requirementsas to size anc~ saying "Main Entrance". <br />;'. <br />3, Removal of projecting sign and ~~~all-sign over. the .door to <br />Eddie's:Corner Bar.' <br />!'~ Allowing the existing wall signs on each side for Eddie's <br />.Corner Bar.. to remain but to reduce them to saying. only. <br />"Er?die's Cornea Bar."-and the 7-Up .logos. <br />5.
