(~: ~ <br />VN-155..... -3- <br />Brown noted that variances were intended to take care of problemse <br />Harty indicated .that it would be a hardship to move the poo <br />Fredrickson indicated that there appeared to be-few other solutions. <br />Partyka asked whether the pool itself was in New Brighton or <br />Fric~ley< <br />The City Planner.. noted that it appeared that the pool anc~ pool .apron <br />were acttally in Fridley, while the fence, part of the. slide, and <br />some shrubbery were in New Brighton. <br />Harty asked Mrs. Lakatua if .she .was aware the the pool was actually <br />in Fridley. <br />Mrse Lakatua indicated that the fence,slide and a great deal of <br />concrete would have to be remove in order to place it all within their <br />lot in Fridleye Mrs. Lakatua-also said that moving the fence <br />back would provide very little, if any, space to walk on that` <br />:side of the pool, this she felt would be an unsafe situation. Mrs. <br />Lakatua further noted that they would be acquiring slightly more <br />land than they need because it Baas the owner's desire to maintain <br />re atively straight lot lines for the affected lots in New Brighton <br />Mrs. Lakatua felt that it .might be better to remove the pool entirely. <br />rather than moving the fence, slide, shrubbery, and concrete <br />Wickland questioned whether this would actually be a lot within the <br />City of New Brighton. <br />The City Planner explained that this would be a lot and that was <br />the reason for the variance request. <br />Motion carried, 5-0. <br /> <br />
