Wnkels, City Planner <br />REe E-Z Mini Storage Signing <br />,By the attached letter, E-Z Mini Storage, 251 5th Street, <br />NW, is seeking Council confirmation to: (1) keep an exist-ing <br />E-Z Mini, Storage "arrow" sign located near 5th Street N.W. and <br />their driveway, 'and; (2) locate a directory. sign somewhere • <br />between 5th Street NW and the E-Z 'Mini project gate. <br />E-Z Mini . Storage has indicated 'that the "arrow" sign is . <br />in conformance with Section 14030 (b) which says: <br />"6. Small-signs, not exceeding four square `~ <br />feet in urea containing no advertising <br />,. <br />and displayed for the convenience of <br />the public to identify rest rooms, freight <br />entrances, etc." <br />The "arrow"-sign is-approximately .seven .square feet in area..'.In <br />addition, signs noting the name..of the :occupant-are limited to <br />tinder one square foot in area. The applicant has indicated''that <br />they would be willing to work out the acceptable wording for a <br />sign as described above. While the code is somewhat vague in <br />.:regard. to: wording, the terms "offices" or "Private. Drive" may.:" <br />be acceptable. <br />E-Z 'Mini Storage has also indicated that they would like to <br />place; their previously approved directory sign somewhere between <br />5th Street..,-and.-their Project Gate, again per Section 14-030 (b) <br />which saysr <br />"4.
