Motion failed for lack of a second. Attorney stated the hearing was properly called. VN-164 The Planner reviewed the planning report and Planning Commission recommendations. 9:41 to 10:28 Nlr. Jack Bell attorney representing the applicant, reviewed the requested variance. He stated the change in the operation of the station to self-service operation required unique signing. He mentioned that one of the two fuel price signs discussed in the planning report had been removed. He noted that many signs along Old Highway 8 were not properly setback. He noted removal of billboards would not improve the appearance of the property as they acted as a screening device to property west of the subject property.
