Jack Bell attorney representing the applicant, <br />reviewed the requested variance. He stated the change <br />in the operation of the station to self-service <br />operation required unique signing. He mentioned that <br />one of the two fuel price signs discussed in the <br />planning report had been removed. He noted that many <br />signs along Old Highway 8 were not properly setback. <br />He noted removal of billboards would not improve <br />the appearance of the property as they acted as a <br />screening device to property west of the subject <br />property. <br />
