(Generally west of 5th Ave. NW and <br />north of lst St. NW) <br />Zoning: I-2, Heavy Industrial <br />Attachments: Application <br />Present Use of Property: Pole Yard <br />Area of Site: Approximately 30 acres <br />Size of Structures Proposed: Dry kiln - 30' x 82' = 2460 feet <br />Sticker Machine Bldg. - 30' x 86' <br />2580 sq. ft. <br />Exterior Treatment: Metal Siding <br />Additional Facts: <br />1. According to the site plans submitted, all Zoning Code require- <br />ments would be met in terms of the construction of these <br />buildings. <br />2. The building plans are complete and contain all required <br />information in terms of a floor plan, elevations and exterior <br />treatment. <br />3. Also enclosed are copies of the property survey and a site <br />plan. The landscaping shown (spruce trees) is what will be <br />provided as part of the previously approved variance, VN=167. <br />Discussion: <br />The proposed buildings will enable the MacGillis & Gibbs Company <br />to enter into the field of wood processing and drying to a much <br />great extent than presently undertaken at the facility. <br />The MacGillis & Gibbs Company has also made application for a non- <br />conforming use permit, NC-21. We would suggest that any recommendation <br />approving the building permit be conditioned on conformance with
