Falcon Oil -8-
Commissioner Anderson noted that he agreed with the assessment
of Commissioner Medved.
Commissioner Doyle stated he was not sure it would make a
difference. He noted that he would have to look at the canopy in
relation to the station and business itself and perhaps, if it were
a matter of life or death, the smaller variance may be more a-cceptable.
He noted, however, that the applicants had stated that the option
of moving the pump islands `cannot be considered.
Motion by Brown, to recommend that the Council consider approving
this request if the owners move his pump islands 8 to 10 feet
thereby reducing the variance from 15 feet to approximately5 - 7 feet,
This would leave a driving lane of 20 - 22 feet requiring a variance
from the 24 foot driving lane requirement.
Motion failed for lack of a second.
Chairman Brown noted that the written findings and comments
as expressed by Commissioner Doyle in his motion would be formally
accepted and attached to the minutes.
