The recommended action-does not grant Dahlke Trailer <br />.Sales special privilege. because the sign ordinance <br />anticipated front of the building being .the face <br />wi ?~ the. major dimensions. The applicant's <br />building has its front on the narrow side of the <br />building, thereby creating a small signable area. <br />2. The location and shape: of both the property and buildings. <br />present unique. circumstances regarding signing. <br />The property being situated. near I-694, I-35~ti7 and .Old <br />Hwy 8 and the building having large-setbacks from all <br />roads also. present unique circumstances. Further, the <br />-narrow side of the building is the front. side, which <br />was not anticipated by the ordinance. <br />3. A hardship exists for the signing of this°property by <br />reason of the unique circumstances noted-above, <br />and further to include in such .resolution the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the wall sign on the south wall of the office <br />building be limited to no more than 22.5% of the <br />selected signable area. <br />2. That the wall sign on the east wall of the repair shop <br />be limited to 18.7% of .the selected signable area-. <br />3. fihat a temporary ground sign along Old Highway 8 be _ <br />permitted until August 15, 1977. <br />4. That the temporary ground sign be set back the required <br />distance from the property line along Old Highway 8. <br />5.
