r.
RESOLUTION NO. 78-4
New Brighton Planning Commission
Board of Review
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
VARIANCE VN-183
WHEREAS, an application for a variance VN-i83 has been
made by Harton Montessori School and Mr. Harold W, Erks, to
permit the erection of a ground sign at 1000 Long Lake Road,
and
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as
f of lows :
1. That an application for variance VN-183 was filed
with the City on February 13, 1978.
2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the
application at its meeting of February 21, 1978.
3. The written comments and analysis of the City
Planner and all person's statements made at the
Board of Review were considered.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Review that
the following findings of fact are made in respect to VN-183:
1. That practical difficulties and unnecessary hard-
ships would result were the Harbon Montessori
School not permitted a sign for identification
purposes.
2. That granting of the variance would be consistent
with the intent of the zoning code in providing
signing for institutions in an R-1 district.
3. That granting of the variance does not constitute
special privilege as under normal circumstances
the Harbon Montessori School would be permitted
to have an identification sign.
