RESOLUTION NO. 2068 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUDTTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING VARIANCE APPLICATION VN-187 WHEREAS an application for a variance VN-187 has been made by Lloyd L. Brandt, Trustee for Sunnyside Bible Chapel, to permit the expansion of a parking lot without installing concrete curbs- at 2455 Long Lake Road, and WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as j follows: 1. That an application for a variance VN-187. was filed with the city on June 14, 1978. 2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the application. at its meeting of June 20, 1978. 3. That the City. Council, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held a public hearing on July 25, 197.8 to con- sder the request. All persons present at the hearing were given the .opportunity to be heard. 4. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, the Planning Commission minutes and recommendation, .and all persons.-statements made at the public hearing meeting were considered. , NOGV THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of New Brighton that the. following findings of fact are made in respect to VPd-187 s 1. That there are no concrete curbs around the existing driveways or parking lot. 2. That the. primary purpose of concrete curbing is to protect adjacent landscaping and to protect the appearance of property. 3. That the application presents no unique circumstances or undue hardship to warrant the variance. 4. That the requirement for concrete curbs has-been consistently applied in other developments throughout the city., BE IT FURTHER RESOVLED, That the application for VN-187 is and hereby denied.
