Mr. Brandt stated
that-the Chapel has not had curbing around its existing parking
lot for 15 years and that they are now considering expanding the
building and that if this were done, the new .curbing would have
to be removed.
Commissioner Brown asked if the Chapel had approached the School
District about using the Irondale parking lot.
Mr. Brandt stated that they had not contacted the School District,
but that he did not feel-that was a good alternative since the
church members would not walk that far. Mr. Brandt stated that
they also have plans for more landscaping which would be more
aesthetic than the curbing.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Brown, to waive the reading and'`
adopt a RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING DENIAL
OF VARIANCE APPLICATION.
4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried.
SP-81, Independent School District No. 621
Mr. Paul Donley, representing the school district was present to
answer questions..
Chairman Brown stated -that he was well aware of the school :district
plans and thought. they were very good.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Williams, to recommend approval of
SP-S 1, subject to the following conditions
1.
