Application for Variance <br />Page 2 <br />A variance is not justified unless all three elements are <br />present in the caseo <br />APPLIC?~NT' S "TATEi~lENT OF RE?~SON s OR VARI~N'CE: <br />This variance is requested because <br />1?..o Standards for sign variances. Section l~-?_?0 states that the <br />crucial points of a sign variance area <br />1. Practical difficulties; <br />?. Unnecessary hardship, or; <br />:~. If results inconsistent ti•~ith the general purpose of <br />this chapter would otherwise occur <br />Before a variance can be. granted, special circumstances invo~.ving <br />size, shape, topography, location or surroundings must attach <br />to the property referee{~ to in the application which do not <br />app]y generally to other properties in the same district. <br />Any variance granted shall be subject to such conditions as <br />will assure that the adjustment thereby authorized shall <br />not constitute a grant. of spacial privilege inconsistent <br />with the limitations upon other properties in the vicinity <br />and zone in which such property is situated... <br />APPLICANT'S 'STATEMENT OF REASON FJR V~`RIANCE: <br />This variance is requested because <br />13. OTHER REnUIR£D D?~TA: <br />~1. tin abstracter's certificate showing ail property owners <br />within 200 feet of above described property. <br />Applicants are encouraged to submit plans detailing the nature of <br />the variance request. <br />Section 11-050 Council May Stipulate. In granting a request for a <br />variance, the Council may stipulate any conditions considered <br />necessary to protect the public health, safety or welfare. <br />
