M. <br />To examine a request for variance to allow a subdivision which <br />would result in two lots of substandard width and area. <br />EACKGROUND <br />Since the. Council reviewed the request on December 12, 1978, <br />the applicant has informed staff that he could acquire an <br />additional nine (9) feet of property from the property owner <br />to the south. .The additional property would result in the <br />proposed lots having the required width of seventy-five'(75) <br />feet. However, the-area of the lots would be 9836..25 square <br />feet and an area of 10, 000 square feet , is required in a R-1,' <br />Single Family District. If the applicant were to acquire. an <br />additional eleven (11) .feet rather than just the 9 feet there <br />would be no need fora variance. <br />The City Attorney has indicated that the appraisals ordered by <br />the Council of this property will be available for the March 27, <br />.1979 Council meeting, This action was taken to facilitate the <br />Council's consideratien of acquiring the property for additional <br />park land. <br />it [ <br />an M.
