RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW.BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVAL OF VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION VN-.199 <br />WHEREAS, an application fora Variance VN-199 has been <br />made by Real Five, Inc. to permit the installation of a ,32.5 <br />sq, ft. ground sign in a B=3 General: Business district with <br />a street yard of 84.03 feet. " <br />WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is <br />;' as follows: <br />ii <br />1. That an_application fora variance VN-199 was filed <br />with the.City of New Brighton on December 8,..1978. <br />,- 2. That the-Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br />application at its meeting on December. l9, 1978.. <br />3. That the City Council,"pursuant to published and.. <br />~~ mailed notices, held a public hearing. on January 23, <br />1979, all person's present.at the. hearing were given <br />an opportunity to be heard. <br />4. The comments and analysis of the .City Staff and the. <br />Planning Commission minutes and recommendation <br />~` were. considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Councit of the City <br />'' of New Brighton that the following Findings of Fact axe-made <br />in respect to VN-199. <br />1. The property is located in a B-3, General Business <br />zoning district. <br />2. The general purpose of the sign ordinance is to promote <br />sound identification, reduction of clutter and <br />aesthetic enhancement. <br />3. That the street frontage is 84 percent. of the <br />~' required 100 feet and the applicant is requesting <br />50 percent of the permissible sgnage area of the <br />~_ 100 feet.. <br />!~ 4. Thata single ground sign as"proposed would provide <br />" sound identification and would be compatiable with <br />'` the general area. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the application VN-199 is <br />hereby approved subject to the following conditions: <br />1. TYiat the ground sign contain tenant name and/or <br />logo only; <br />2.
