PLANNING-COMMISSION <br />BOARD OF REVSEW <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT .AND RECOMMENDING `APPROVAL <br />OF VARIANCE APPLICATION VN-199. <br />WHEREAS, an application. for a Variance VN-.199 has been <br />made by Real Five, Inc, to permit the installation of 32.5 <br />sq._ ft, ground sign in ~a',B='3 `:.General Business district with <br />a sheet yard of 84...03 feet. <br />Ti9HEREAS, the procedural history of -the application- is, as <br />follows ; <br />1. Thatw an application for `a variance VN--199 was filed <br />d~th the City of New' Brighton on December" 8, 1978. <br />_. <br />2, That the Board of .Review heard and reviewed the , <br />~applicati~n at its meeting on December 19, 1978. <br />3 . The written comrients and ~ analys is of the City 'Planner <br />and all:. person's statements:.made at the Board; of <br />Review meeting were cons`dered. <br />,, ., ~; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of. Review that <br />the following Findings,of Fact are made in respect to VN-199. <br />1. The property is located in a B-3 General Business <br />zoning district. <br />2. The general. purpose of the s-ign. ordinance is to <br />promote sound. identification; reduction of clutter <br />and aesthetic enhancement. <br />3. ' That the street footage is 84 percent of the <br />required 100 feet and .the. applicant is requesting <br />50 percent- of the permissible 's ignage area of the: <br />100 feet... <br />4. That a-single ground sign as proposed would provide <br />sound dentif ca ion and would be compatable with <br />.the general area. <br />BE ZT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the application VN-199 <br />is hereby recommended for approval subject to the fol owing. <br />conditions <br />1).
