Standards for sign variances. Section 1~-2?0 states that the <br />crucial points of a sign variance are: <br />1. Practical difficulties; <br />~. Unnecessary hardship, or; <br />3. If results inconsistent vaith the general .purpose of <br />this chapter would otherwise occur <br />Before a variance can be granted, special circumstances involving <br />size, shape, topography, location or surroundings must attach <br />to the property referred to in the application which do not <br />apply generally to other properties in the same district. <br />Any variance granted shall be subject to such conditions as <br />will assure that the adjustment thereby authorized shall <br />nat constitute a grant of special privilege inconsistent <br />with the limitations upon other properties in the vicinity <br />and zone in which such property is situated. <br />APPLICANT'S ~TP.TEMENT OF REASON FOR V?RIANCE: <br />This variance is requested because <br />13. An abstracts-r's certificate showing all property owners <br />within 200 feet of above described property. <br />Applicants are encouraged to submit plans detailing the nature of <br />the variance request. <br />Section 11-050 Council May Stipulate. ?'n granting a request for a <br />variance, the Council may stipulate any conditions considered <br />necessary to protect the public health, safety or welfare. <br />
