. _ ~ ~... . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />BOARD OF REVIEW <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF-FACT AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL <br />OF VARIANCE APPLICATION VN-202. <br />WHEREAS, an application for a Variance VN-202 has been <br />made by Carley Foundry to permit parking on a side street yard <br />in an industrial district. <br />.WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as <br />follows• <br />1. That an application for a Variance VN-202 was filed <br />with the City on February 12, 1929. <br />2. That the-Board of Review heard and .reviewed thee.. <br />application at its regular meeting on February 20, 197! <br />3. The written comments-and analysis of the City Planner <br />and all person's statements made at the Board of Revie` <br />meeting were considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Review that <br />the following Findings of Fact a re made in respect to: <br />1. The property is located in an I-2, Heavy Industrial <br />zoning district.. <br />2. That the .property is surrounded on three sides by <br />public street, one street 8th Avenue S.W, being a <br />dead-end street, creates a unique circumstance. <br />3. That off-street parking for two truck trailers is <br />necessary for the operation of the business. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Review hereby <br />recommends that VN-202 be approved subject to the following <br />conditions; <br />1. That the proposed parking area meet a 11 zoning code <br />requirements including paving and concrete curbing. <br />2. That the northeastern driveway off of 8th Avenue S.W. <br />have concrete curbing and that the paved drive exte nd <br />to-the proposed parking area. <br />3. That additional landscaping in the form of evergreens <br />and bushes be provided for along 8th Avenue 5.W. <br />and the northwest corner of the site along Old <br />Highway #8 to properly screen the parking area.. <br />Adopted this 20 day of February ~ 1979. <br />Richard Brown, Chairman <br />~~~. <br />an M.
