<br />Y . <br />Application for Variance <br />,Page 2 <br />A variance is not justified unless all three elements are <br />present in the case. <br />APPLICMV e ^TATEIMENT OF REASON FOR VARIANCE: <br />This variance is requested because the -arking requirements based on <br />buildi.n size?are greatly in excess of the Owner's initial needs and a reduction <br />of parking area and curbing is necessary to make the project economically feasible. <br />12. Standards for sign variances. Section 14-220 states that the <br />crucial points of a sign variance area <br />1. Practical difficulties; <br />2. Unnecessary hardship, or; <br />3. If results inconsistent with the general purpose of <br />this chapter would otherwise occur <br />Before a variance can be granted, special. circumstances involving <br />size, shape, topography, location or surroundings must attach <br />to the property referred to in the application which do not <br />apply generally to other properties in the same district. <br />Any variance granted shall be subject to such conditions as <br />will assure that the adjustment thereby authorized shall <br />not constitute a grant. of special privilege inconsistent <br />with the limitations upon other properties in the vicinity <br />and zone in which such property is situates. <br />APPLICANT'S STATEMENT OF REASON FOR WIRIANCE: <br />This variance is requested because <br />13. An abstracter's certificate showing all property owners <br />within 200 feet of above described property. <br />Applicants are encouraged to submit plans detailing the nature of <br />the variance request. <br />Section 11-050 Council May Stipulate. In granting a request for a <br />variance, the Council may stipulate any conditions considered <br />necessary to protect the public health, safety or welfare.
