RESOLUTION NO <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />BOARD OF REVIEW <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL <br />OF APPLICATION FOR A VARIANCE, VN-208 <br />WHEREAS, An application for a Variance, VN-208 has been <br />made by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to construct a <br />short term parking area with less than the required front <br />yard setback, lack of the required concrete curbing and <br />dustless surface and have more than the permitted.number of <br />dwellings. <br />WHEREAS, The procedural history of the application is as <br />follows: <br />1. That an application for a Variance, VN-208 was filed <br />with the City on August 6,_1979. <br />2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br />application at its regular meeting on August 22, 1979. <br />3. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner <br />and all person's statements made at the Board of <br />Review meeting were considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the Board of Review that <br />the following Findings of Fact are made in respect to VN-208: <br />1. That the applicant needs 16 additional parking spaces; <br />2. That a hardship would result if the employees of the <br />applicant were required to park on the street because <br />of potential traffic, safety and road maintenance <br />problems <br />3. That the time period to install equipment in the <br />newly completed addition is unique to this particular <br />company; <br />4. That there is no location in a permitted area on the <br />site that would accommodate the needed parking spaces. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the application for <br />Variance; VN-208 is hereby approved subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the proposed parking area have a 6 foot fence <br />on the north and east sides to screen the parking <br />from the public right-of-way; and <br />2. That the parking area be oiled to provide a means of <br />dust control; and <br />3. That the variance is granted until July 1, 1981 <br />and that after that time the parking area will be <br />landscaped as indicated by the approved site plan for <br />LP-68. <br />Adopted this day of <br />, 1979. <br />Steve Schmidt, Chairman <br />Joan M.
