City of New Brighton <br />October 14, 1980 <br />Public Hearings <br />John Daubney, attorney.; Sheila Webster, property <br />manager; and Truman Howell, architect, were <br />present representing the applicant. <br />Tom Polasckic, area resident, questioned and <br />voiced concern over the proposed usage of the <br />building and questioned the location of the <br />office space. <br />PUD-2 , -216 , LP~:.:~:-, <br />Willmu~s~' Company , <br />7:40 - 8:02 <br />RESOLUTION #2384 <br />RESOLUTION #23$5 <br />Truman Howell, architect, stated that 10$ of <br />the building would be used for office and the <br />remaining 90~ would be used for light manufacturing <br />and warehousing. He noted that the office use would <br />be in designated areas and as an example explained <br />that the western portion of "Building A" as designated <br />on the site plan would be used for office space. <br />Joe Boley, 133 13th Avenue SW, questioned noise <br />from truck traffic. <br />Staff noted that the resolution restricted excessive <br />noise and excessive vehicular traffic between the <br />hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. <br />John Daubney, attorney, noted that to the west of <br />"Building A" as designated on the site plan would <br />be used for automobile parking only and that there <br />is a 60 foot landscape strip with numerous plantings <br />to buffer the development :from the adjacent residential <br />properties. <br />Burt Emerson, 45 12th Avenue Nt9, stated that he <br />felt the plans were of a good design and that <br />this type of development would be compatible with <br />the adjacent residential properties due to the <br />architectural design. <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist to close <br />the hearing. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to waive the <br />reading and adopt a RESOLUTION r~.AKING FINDINGS <br />OF FACT AND.
