City of New Brighton <br />June 9, 1981 <br />Page 4 <br />y <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to waive the <br />reading and adopt a RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT <br />AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE VN-220. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek, to approve the <br />building permit LP-115 subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That final grading and drainage plans be approved <br />by the Rice Creek.Watershed district and the City <br />Engineer; <br />2. That the applicant conform to all conditions <br />contained in the approval of VN-220 and <br />3. To site and landscape plans dated and signed by <br />the City Planner. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />City Planner reviewed amendments to Section 4-600 <br />of the proposed new zoning code pertaining to radio and <br />antenna towers as well as reviewed other changes proposed <br />in the code. <br />Mr. Bob Schultz, 2119 Violet Lane, stated that over the <br />course of the last several weeks the Council, staff, and <br />citizens have discussed at length different amendments <br />regarding the construction of radio and television antenna <br />towers and it is his opinion that the current proposal meets <br />all the current concerns that the residents had indicated <br />and recommended that City Council adopt the staff amended <br />proposal regarding Section 4-600. <br />Mr. Paul Sellers, 3205 Rosevelt Street, St. Anthony, <br />stated that his opinion was that the amended staff proposal <br />regarding antenna towers was something the City of New <br />Brighton and all ham radio operators could live with and <br />recommended that the City Council-adopt this proposal. <br />No one else present at the Public Hearing spoke to the <br />proposed Revised Zoning Code. <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist, to close Public <br />Hearing. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek, to waive the <br />reading and hold the first reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />APPENDIX A, ZONING CODE, OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CITY CODE. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Zoning Code Revision <br />8:28 - 8:36 <br />First Reading of <br />Ordinance <br />Report No. 81-100
