~.
WILLMUS COMPANIES
HAND DELIVERED
May 21, 1985
City of New Brighton
803 5th Avenue North West
New Brighton, Minnesota 55112
Attention: Mr. Roger Williams
Chairperson, City Planning Commission.
Dear Mr. Williams:
Please read this letter into the minutes of the Rasmussen and Dickison
Variance and Special Use Permit Hearing.
It is the wish of Willmus Properties, owner of seventeen (17) acres
to the south of this property, that any action on the matter be
tabled until the following points can be considered.
1. First, determine if Mr. Robert Nixon still has any
interest in this property as well as the property
occupied by the Rigging Company.
2. I believe Mr. Nixon contracted to sell the adjacent
property to parties who have demonstrated they have no
intent to comply with the new zoning code. If action
were tabled on this matter, the City may have an
opportunity to force compliance.
3. I believe that with City leadership and the cooperation
of all interested parties it may still be possible
to develop the entire tract south of County Road E as
a single unit.
4. The development of the Willmus property has been
seriously impaired because of the type of non-compliance
occupancy that presently exists on the property to
the north.
5. Granting the variance requested tonight may also set
a precedent for my property as well as the remaining
property on the block.
2819 North Hamline Avenue /Suite 111 / Roseville, Minnesota 55113
C+wner Managed Residential, Commercial, Industrial Properties
Phone (612) 633-5701
