Thermo-King will move the fence along the south <br />property back to the required setback, but that the people <br />to the north are outside constantly. <br />Chairman Williams asked why the pond was not used for snow <br />storage and commented that the applicant's property had a <br />huge area for snow storage. <br />Mr. Jorrison stated that their current snowplow got stuck <br />if it pushed snow too far into the ponding area. A used <br />bobcat would cost $10,000 and a front end loader $30,000 <br />plus labor costs to operate. To contract out for a front <br />end loader to come in and remove snow would be $75.00 per <br />hour plus travel time. <br />Commissioner Becker stated that a chain across the west side <br />of the trailer parking area should have a no-parking sign <br />and landscaping should be provided in front of the fence line. <br />Chairman Williams asked what other properties do for snow <br />removal since many properties do not have room for snow storage. <br />Mr. Jorrison stated that places like shopping centers contract <br />with companies for services with front end loaders. <br />No one was present to speak at the public hearing. <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Sande to close the public hearing. <br />5 Ayes 0 Nayes, Motion carried. <br />Commissioner Erickson asked if a partial curb with a space left <br />for a truck to go through would be an alternative. <br />Mr. Jorrison stated this would cause a directional problem when <br />plowing. <br />Commissioner Livingston stated a chain across the area behind <br />the fence looks ok. <br />Chairman Williams asked if there was an ordinance against snow <br />storage.in a front yard. <br />Staff stated there was not.
