Board <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Perovich at 3:12 p.m. <br />Motion was made by Bosanko to approve the agenda. Patty seconded and the <br />motion carried. <br />Wirtanen moved to approve the minutes of March 23, 1981. Bosanko seconded and <br />the motion carried. <br />Lynch moved to approve the minutes of April 6, 1981. Banitt seconded and the <br />motion carried. <br />SWEARING IN OF NEWLY-APPOINTED COMMISSION MEMBER <br />Kay Banitt., MPOSC member appointed by the Council on April 23, was sworn in <br />before the Commission. Perovich congratulated and welcomed her to the MPOSC. <br />NEW BRIGHTON REQUEST FOR DESIGNATION AS THE IMPLEMENTING AGENCY FOR LONG <br />LAKE/RUSH LAKE REGIONAL PARK <br />Marty Jessen briefly reviewed the staff report. He stated that New Brighton is <br />requesting designation as the implementing agency for Long Lake/Rush Lake <br />Regional Park. Ramsey County, through resolution of their Board, is supporting <br />New Brighton's request for implementing agency status. Jessen said there are <br />two issues at hand that relate to the regional park system: 1) Who should <br />serve as implementing agency,. and 2) What can be done to the implementing <br />
