The City of New Brighton Comprehensive Park Plan is in- <br />tended to provide a framework to guide future development of <br />the Park and Recreation system in the City. <br />The plan will include: <br />1. A statement of .goals and objECtives. <br />Z, Maps showing facilities, barriers, population densities, <br />and zoning. <br />3, A.n inventory of existing facilities; public, private, <br />and commercial. <br />4. A needs assissment for the system and alternatives far <br />meeting those needs. <br />5. A statement of conformity with nat~ianal, state(SC4Rk'? <br />and metropolitan system standards.. <br />~. Concept plans and descriptions of existing facilities. <br />7. Schedule of improvements through 1990 with potential <br />funding sources, <br />8, piscussion of compatibility.and effect of this plan as <br />it relates to adjacent communities and school districts. <br />.This plan represents the coordinated efforts of the City Staff, <br />` Park Board, and City Council. The plan will be used to deter- <br />mine priorities for development, supplement grant applications <br />and to inform citizens of park efforts and priorities. The plan <br />wi~:l be reviewed and updated on an annual basis. <br /> <br />
