If we had the money would we do the things on the list or are these things we would-never have if we didn't get donation money, Anderson said-some. Cities may have equipment they consider essential and New Brighton doesn't. Carlson said he could see a problem if the donator wants to put money toward something and the Park Board says no. Anderson said if someone wanted to donate something specific it would not normally go to the .Council.. Van Hatten sugges.ted_segregating the money as much as possible. Carlson said we should have a clause that will blend. in with the plans the Park Board has set. Van .Hatten said we have ultimate approval. Carlson said yes, but we .want to say it in a nicer way. Dahl said we should look at something we would not be able to afford. Grimshaw said he thinks we all feel the same way Dahl does... Anderson said he will prepare a list and bring to the-Park Board to look at. Johnson said he was satisfied. Dahl suggested Anderson get preliminary criteria out with the minutes. Van Hatten suggested that an estimated price be included on the list of potential donations. Anderson said the current position on the puppet wagon is in con- tracting with Mounds .View or Fridley to use theirs. We would have to pay for it. Will be meeting with the two cities. Fridley has a very nice wagon. If that happens, we would free up the $3,000 donation money. Johnson said the puppet wagon is still hanging? Anderson said the puppet wagon was scheduled to be on the Council agenda twice. The-first time it was removed by the Council. the second time the City Manager took it off so we could check into rental. Dahl asked how the youtli~athletic meeting went, Anderson said he heard it went well, Most of the recreation Depart- ments-were there. as well as representatives-from most of the athletic associations.
