November- 12, 1980 Park Board Minutes Page 7 <br />Anderson said the City does a 5 year CIP plan but Metro Council <br />wants a 10 year plan. <br />Johnson asked if perhaps there should be a statement of how good <br />the schools are. We have super programs in the. schools. <br />Carlson asked if there .weren't some statistics on programs. <br />Dahl. said she had just finished an inventory of programs at parks <br />and seYi~~Is for all seasons and all ages. She distributed this <br />information to the Park Board. <br />Anderson stated the other two .plans did not have programming in <br />them, but he sees no reason not to. <br />Gunderman asked if it. could be kept current. <br />Schmitz. responded it could be general enough that it could be._ <br />Carlson feels this shows we are doing a good job. .This. shows <br />that programming is important to the Park Board. <br />Dahl stated that from.. the information she discovered that there <br />are alot of activities for the young age but not alot for adults. <br />Schmitz commented that this was very helpful information. <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by Carlson, to accept the Comprehensive <br />Plan Outline with. the addition of recreation programming. Motion <br />passed. <br />Anderson. stated he has what he needs from the Park Board, now it <br />is up to him to rough-.out the plan. <br />Hogan. made the cozntnent that of the. information and data put together <br />it should be put in the Bulletin for public information... <br />Anderson responded it could be done. <br />VII. Announcements <br />A. CLP Hearing 11/20/80 <br />In earlier discussion Dahl., .Carlson and Hogan stated they would <br />try to make it to the hearing. <br />B. MRPA Fall Conference 11/19-11./21 <br />Anderson reminded the Park Board of the.eonference and stated <br />Grimshaw was approved to attend. <br />The Park Board was invited to sit in at the Council meeting to discuss <br />the Long Lake issue. <br />VIII .
