Pahl liked the picnic area away from the <br />parking lot. <br />Olson feels the same as Aahl. The free skating area is <br />practical where it .s. ~t would also be`practical to leave <br />the entrance as it is. Liked the picnic area as in the first <br />drawing away from the parking lot. <br />Van Hatters would like free skating close to the shelter building <br />The picnic area is ok as is or-put i~ north of the tennis courts <br />Entrance could be o~n the other side of the sign,. Have two road° <br />ways one for entrance and ox~e exit. <br />Carlson asked if we could afford to give up the spaces used for <br />parking as shown ~.n the second drawing... <br />Anderson stated that the first two drawings show the lot holding <br />about 6Q cars. The second two drawings show-the lot holding <br />about ?5-19Q cars, <br />Carlson stated he liked the free skating where it is now. Paren <br />like to drop their kids off and pick them up and if it were too <br />far from the shelter building the parents would have to take a <br />hike to find their kids. Carlson likes the picnic area close to <br />the water. Likes the present driveway with speed bumps because <br />it's the safest: ~iQUld like to see a separate entrance and <br />exit. <br />Grimshaw favors the first drawa-ng -dikes the speed bumps. Keep <br />the. curved entrance but maybe remove half. of the berm. Likes <br />tY~e picnic. area by-.the water. Likes the ~~ee skating where it <br />is. 4~ith a new entrance it would improve the looks. <br />Johnson stated he kept track of the positive and negative re- <br />marks from people on`the proposals. <br />FREE SKATING WRST SIAM <br />Positives <br />-Soil conditions have been proven <br />-Lower future maintenance costs <br />-Virtually all resic~.ents favor-this location <br />-Its near the parking for pick up of chi~.dren <br />-Nicer picnic location to the east aas opposed to being right <br />noxt to the parking area. <br />-Soccer area could be used ~.n same area as free skating <br />
