Should indicate a proximity to elementary schools and are usually <br />_ 10-25 acres in size, serving a population of 4,000 to 5,000. <br />t There are presently 10 neighborhood parks within the city of Blaine and most residential areas have <br />access to the facilities of a neighborhood park. These parks provide area residents with recreational <br />resources of softball, baseball, football; hockey, tennis, court games, ice skating and many other <br />activities within a close proximity to their home. <br />:Through' a 'progressive park dedication ordinance which requires developers to include park <br />acreage within any new residential area, and with other dedications of city-owned land, the city <br />has kept pace with its needs in the area of neighborhood parks.
