Correspondence =None - <br />V. New Business ' <br />`Ae Goal Setting - The Board developed a pr~liirinary <br />set of goals (see attached? <br />B. Land Donation/Hansen Park. - Staff discussed the <br />five lots being offered to the City and informed <br />the Board that there were approxi;~ately $12,OOG.00 <br />in assessments and back taxes outstanding on the <br />property. The Board decided that the property was <br />not worth $12,000.00 and suggested that the Gity <br />attempt to pick it up if it went-tax forfeit. <br />h3otion by Dahl, seconded by G~lestling that the <br />Board does not recommend acceptance of the land at <br />this time. Motion carried. <br />VI. Unfinished.Busness <br />A. CIP - The Board adopted the attached 1980-85 CIP. <br />B. Hansen Park Entrance Relocation - Staff brought <br />the Board and the audience up to date on the history <br />of the proposed entrance relocation, stating that <br />pedestrial safety is the primary reason for suggesting <br />the relocation. Staff had met with the City Engineer <br />and both recommended a split entrance with one way <br />traffic into the park at mid-block between 5th Street <br />and Sioux and the present entrance being converted <br />to an exit. <br />Residents Concerns <br />-Additional cost was unju:tifi.ed. <br />-Current : afety problems ~ti7ere not evident. <br />-New design would lower parking lot capacity <br />-Property taxes would be raised by improvezre~ts <br />to the park. <br />-Stop signs should be tried before entrance changes <br />are made <br />
