a
January 23 , 1 g78
`~`0:. City Council c. Park Board L4embers (cont. ) Page 2
Is the Council prepared to police and protect lakeshore residents
from vandalism and burglary which will become even more of a
problem than we presently have if this property becomes. an
active park?
Is the Council prepared to have the garbage and trash removed from
the east shore and the lake that this facility will generate as
an active park? We participated in a clean-up of the east shore
lash Sp ng resulting in a mountain of trash. The city hauled it
away for us so you know what was collected, and this was just
from fishermen - not an active park.
Before contirn~ing further with development of this park, we feel
the Council should inform the public what the ongoing costs of
running this facility will be and where this money will come from.
~~e feel if no sensibility, responsibility and consideration of the
wishes of the residents of s~`ew Brighton is exerted about this park
plan, we regretfully will be active in legal action against the
Council and Park Board.
Respectfully submitted,
T~Tr. & I~~~lrs.
