PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1977 <br />I. The joint meeting of the Park Board and E.Q.C. was <br />called to order at 70+5 p.m. by Councilman T~Terdouschegg. <br />Barb Kueppers, the Governor's Aesthetic Environment Program <br />Coordinator, presented a slide-tape show outlining the <br />four facets of the program9 junk car removal, junk yard <br />screening, tree planting, and dilapidated building removal. <br />II. All members present <br />III. Minutes of the August 3, 1977 meeting were corrected to <br />reado Capital Improvement Plan. "Outdoor pool" changed <br />to "poo <br />IV. Correspondence - Staff reported that the City had been <br />awarded a $10,209.00 grant for construction of tennis <br />courts at Silver Oak School. <br />V. Long Lake. Planning - Motion by Cook, seconded by Olson <br />that the Park Board view a concept plan presentation by <br />Ken Simons at the October meeting and hold a public meeting <br />on the plan at the November meeting. Motion passed. The <br />Board also requested that someone from the Department of <br />Natural Resources and Metropolitan Council be present at <br />the October meeting. <br />The Board also expressed concern over the fact that Rice <br />Creek watershed projects on Long Lake and Ditch ~2 have <br />not yet begun. <br />VI.
