New Brighton Planning Commission <br />• Board of Review <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 18, 1977 <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Brown at 7:45 P.M. <br />Present: Anderson, Brown, Doyle., Medved, Wickland <br />Absent: None <br />A lso Present: Council Representative Fisher, City Planner Winkels <br />Minutes - December 21, 1976: <br />Hearing no objections, Chairman Brown stated that the December 21, <br />1976 minutes would stand approved as presented. <br />Report on Council Actions :_ <br />Councilman Fisher reviewed recent Council actions and also <br />reviewed the restructuring of the Planning Commission and its <br />expectations for the coming year. <br />• <br />Aaenda Review: <br />There were no additions, changes or deletions to the agenda. <br />PL-107, Brentwood Hills 2nd Addition: <br />The City Planner reviewed his comments noting that the applicant <br />has filed an application to rezone the southwest corner of the site <br />from R-3B to R-1. The Planner further noted that a communication <br />had been received from the Rice Creek Watershed District which <br />indicated that they had approved the. plat subject to the marsh <br />on the northern portion of the site being retained and left <br />undeveloped. It was noted that this would effect. 14 lots and <br />would apparently, require a major revision to the plat. <br />Mr. Ed Dropps, applicant and developer, was present to answer <br />questions. Mr. Dropps stated that he was only recently aware of <br />the Rice Creek Watershed decision. Mr. Dropps stated that a <br />prior plat was already approved for the site but was never recorded. <br />Mr. Dropps stated he did not think there was a water problem and <br />that the area could be well drained. Mr. Dropps stated that it <br />• would be unecnnomical to develop the property if 14 lots had to <br />be eliminated. <br />
