<x <br />PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />Monday, November 29, 1976 <br />The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairperson Dahl at 8015 p.m. <br />Park Board members presents Cook, Dahl, Kern and Sullivan. <br />Park Board members absento Gunderman and Smith. <br />The minutes of the November 3, 1976 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />NEW BUSINESSo <br />Long Lake Park Planning <br />Staff reported that Ramsey County Open Space staff may do concept <br />and construction drawings as they presently have manpower but no <br />projects. Soil borings and topograph~:c studies were done in 1968 <br />prior to purchase of the site and with some updating are useable. <br />The following issues were rained by Dahl: <br />Finances f Grants <br />- how much is available <br />- when do we get money <br />- timeline for application <br />- timeline for use of Capital Improvement Plan funds <br />Development <br />- location of facilities <br />- priorities <br />- timelines <br />- maintenance <br />- utilization of existing topography <br />Needs Assessment <br />- how do we get it and what purpose does it serve <br />- when is it needed <br />- how are key people identified <br />Professional Services <br />- what types of information are needed and who can suppy them <br />- assignment of ta~~s <br />Water Surface Use <br />- how regulated or controlled <br />Access <br />- where located <br />- how funded <br />
