<br />in°;the area: is shown on the attached map. It appears from these ,,~~.::
<br />figures, that there is a considerable amount bf traffic from ~'~
<br />Fridley and New Brighton which uses 16th St. 'between Silver Lake
<br />Road`and the City boundary. From travel behavior nventory'studies
<br />~- .r. ~ '.done` a few years ago, -and from traffic engineering studies done
<br />f~?~„-the ;Farr 'development, we can assume that~`most of the 1400
<br />'`~,aizps Un 16th St. :are either heading to or coming from the south.
<br />' ~ ` ~ . Tx•af f is .leaving the area and, heading ,south does not face a ma j or
<br />~` ~' ~ ` conflid at Si1ve~~Lake Road at most times of the day because
<br />~.`t dcaes not have to cross any lanes of traffic, It's quite possible

<br />tra~fi.c, however, which: wishes to enter the area. west of Silver:
<br />'~~Z3ke Rbad would be highly likely to use the semaphore at 14th Street
<br />:~ ~- ' `` ~ in~x.c~rder to' facilitate- crossing the south bound lane. On this
<br />~,.~ '., basis:,_we can probably assume that about half of the total trips
