1 <br />PARK BOARD MEETING • <br />May 7, 1975 <br />The meeting was called to order. by Chairman Gunderman at 8000 p.m. <br />Board members present: Cook, Dahl, Gunderman, Smith, Sullivan, <br />UTeissman and Council Representative Eagon. <br />Board members absent: Jasinski. <br />Others present: Jim McDonough, Ed Bader, Loren Balfany, Annette Sova, <br />Charles Westing, Harlan Downing, New Brighton residents; Elizabeth <br />Gulon, Recreation Aide and Scott Buchan, University of Minnesota <br />Intern; Charles Corlett, Assistant Director and Maurice Anderson, <br />Director of Parks and Recreation. <br />Ma.r~utes of the regular meeting of April 2, 1.975 were received. and <br />approved as read. <br />School Ballfields <br />Moundsview Athletic Association representatives requested aid from the. <br />City to upgard ballfields at Sunnyside Elementary School. Representa- <br />tives offered to supply a labor force to do any hand work necessary. <br />It way agreed that Department staff and the Association would contact <br />Barry Bauer in a joint attempt to get some work performed on the fields, <br />Human Rights Commission - Youth Report <br />It was reported that data had been collected and results would hope- <br />fully be available for the June meeting. <br />Hansen Park - Ditch #2 <br />Staff informed the Board that the study was completed and that it was <br />currently being studied by the City Engineer and that the Board would <br />be involved in decisions effecting Hansen Park. This item was to be <br />placed on the June agenda. <br />1976 - X980 Capital Improvements Plan <br />Staff reviewed a memo from the City Manager regarding developments of <br />the Capital~Improvements Plan and provided the following timetables <br />August 1 Department submit information to Manager. <br />August 1 - October 15 Request reviewed with Department and review <br />overall priorities with management team. <br />
