• <br />PARK BOARD MINU~fES <br />September 4, 1974 <br />Meeting was c®lled to order at 8:011- p.m. <br />• <br />Board members presents Dahl, Gunderman, Jasins.ki, Smith, Sullivan, <br />Weissman and Council Representative Eagon. <br />Board members absent° Cook <br />Others presenta Joann Nelson, League of <br />20th Avenue S.W., New Brighton and Charl <br />Park and Recreation Department. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of August <br />following corrections "Brightwood Hills <br />ready It was stated that the course T~aas <br />Z~Tomen Voters 9 Geri Evans, 151 <br />~s Corlett, Acting Director of <br />7, 1874 were approved with the <br />Golf Course" - Line 14 should <br />. .. <br />Tennis Courts at Silver Oak Elementary School <br />Geri Evans, 151 20th Avenue S.W. addressed the Park Board for the <br />possible joint development of tennis courts located at Silver Oak <br />Elementary School in NeUa Brighton. The joint agreement would be between, <br />the City of St. Anthony, St. Anthony School District 282 and the City <br />of New Brighton. Mrs. Evans asked that a representative from the Park <br />Board serve on a committee to study possible agreement to develop tennis <br />facilities at Silver Oak. The Board indicated an interest in the <br />development and asked what the current Capital Improvements Plan for <br />1974-78 called for concerning the Silver Oak site. It was explained <br />to the Board that development for the Silver Oak site was planned for <br />1977. The Board assigned Marty Sullivan to serve on the committee. <br />W~_nter Facilities Scheduling <br />The Board was informed that the Department would continue the policies <br />as established in 1973 relating to the skating rinks. <br />Sullivan asked if storage for footwear at Hansen Park was at all possible <br />and it was stated that such a project would be looked into. <br />Question was asked if hockey boards were going to be painted. The <br />Department answered it is the intention to paint hockey boards t~rherever <br />necessary and that the Lake Region Hockey Association had been asked <br />to support in the purchase of paint. <br />
