<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 25, 1986 <br /> <br />Council Business, Continued <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Sinda stated there had been no date set for the Team Building <br />Workshop; Government Training Services is suggesting that the <br />interviews, which are Step One of the process, be done the week <br />of December 15, 1986, and the Workshop be held Friday and <br />Saturday, January 23 and 24, 1987. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams to SET THE DATES FOR <br />THE INTERVIEWS FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 15, 1986, AND THE <br />WORKSHOP ON JANUARY 23 AND 24, 1987. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Gunderman stated he would like the council to consider (1) a more <br />progressive name for the Old Highway 8 Corridor at a future date <br />and (2) using the existing Parks and Rec office as a potential <br />site for a Community Center. Gunderman proposed the financing of <br />such a Center be studied and the detail work completed before <br />budget time next year. <br /> <br />Benke reported he attended a meeting Saturday, November 22, 1986, <br />sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce; a broad cross-section of <br />about 70 government, civic, business, citizen and club leaders <br />took part in this very productive meeting. Benke advised he has <br />requested a report on the issues that were discussed for use at <br />the January strategic Planning Sessions, noting there were 30 <br />ideas or topics identified of which 12 were determined to be <br />priority items (the name change of the Old Highway 8 Corridor was <br />one of those 12 items).
