I <br />LIGHTING COST ESTIi~3nTES <br />The estimates for improvement in park lighting systems were discussed. The, <br />revamping of Veterans Park to a four pole: three 1500 watt fixtures/pole <br />system would run $2,700.00 while pole extensions to be added to ea~isting poles <br />at Totem Pole would run $524.00. The extensions are an experiment and are being <br />instituted at Totem Pole because thats where most of the. trouble with the lights <br />has occured and because it gets the heaviest use. <br />The Board endorsed the improvements. <br />DEPARTiiENT REPORT <br />The staff reported on a meeting held with a representative of the Minnesota <br />Environmental Services Center. They are going to prepare a plan for setting <br />up nature study sites at Hansen Park. The initial phase will be at no cost. <br />to the Village. <br />The staff reported that the "72" Budget has been completed and submitted to the <br />Manager. Major projects for the coning year include upgrading of-park Lighting <br />and capital improvements at Hansen Park, <br />Gunderman requested that a discussion of a rive Year Capital Improvements program <br />be held at a future meeting.
